Kalaiselvi is a widow. She lives with her daughters Nalini and Narmadha in a small tiled roofed house near a village in Perambalur Dt. Kalaiselvi is doing daily wage labour and earning meagre income. Moreover, She doesn't have work throughout the month. Through this meagre income, she is unable to meet out their family basic needs and children education. Gift of cow will add an additional income to meet her needs.
